Injectables

As we age, our skin loses elasticity and collagen, which can lead to wrinkles and sagging. Injectables like Jeuveau®, Xeomin® and Dysport® can help to temporarily smooth out these lines and give the skin a more youthful appearance. Jeuveau®, Xeomin® and Dysport® are both neuromodulators that work by relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles. This makes them ideal for treating dynamic wrinkles, or those that appear when we make facial expressions. Jeuveau®, Xeomin® and Dysport® are FDA-approved for the treatment of crow’s feet and glabellar lines (between the eyebrows). They have also been shown to be effective in treating other types of wrinkles, including forehead wrinkles and marionette lines.

Dermal fillers are an increasingly popular means to help reverse the changes associated with aging. Our filler is made with hyaluronic acid, which exists naturally in all living organisms. As our skin ages, the dermis gradually loses its major constituents. Collagen acts as the major support protein for our skin, elastin allows our skin to stay firm and resist wrinkle, and hyaluronic acid helps to trap water and add volume and shape to our skin. When fillers are injected they can restore or add volume, provide wrinkle reduction, and allow facial sculpting.
